Spot Pop

Above: Jackson pops the hell out of a blunt to fakie.
In grand Canadian tradition, a new skatepark has popped up just in time for the snow to fly. Did anyone know anything about this? It appears to be one of those pre-fabricated parks and it’s quite small but even so, how does a park just pop up over-night without anyone knowing about it.

Grovenor Community League 143 Street and 104 Avenue.

The quarter is like the one at Collingwood except higher and a bit steeper.

Less stoked on this thing. Why not just make a couple of ledges? Sometimes simpler is better. Much, much better. Apparently there’s a similiar park in north Edmonton. Anyone know where that one’s at? Craig Smith, I’m looking directly at you.

The glass is half broken

You know you're getting old when you're having one of those sessions where you're feeling pretty on it, you're even landing a few things, and you get to the point where you're having so much fun that you immediately start to worry that you're going to get hurt and ruin it. You start to fixate on the idea that any minute now you're going to get hurt and that it will crush any memories of fun. Your mind continues to compulsively obsess on in this until you eventually just give up and go home. What? That's just me? Damn.
This of course.

Weekend at Photo Thug's

Above: If you're going to watch a terribly awesome 80's movie you may as well watch it 15 feet tall in your back alley and force all your neighbors to "enjoy' it as well.
Holy crap!
This.
I can't remember. Did I say this?
Derek is so good I actually clicked on this. Crazy good.
Help him out and go FaceBlog him or whatever it is you're suppose to do.

The answer is ... 4?

This Dude was back in Edmonton this week just long enough to become a Dr. I was telling Neil that I always pictured the defense of a doctoral thesis looking something like this. However, since his was in computer science, the defense must have also included some sort of Tron lightbike battle to the death.
Huh?
Love the pool photo.
I've always loved this guy's skating.
This.

September slacking

Vacation and working nights has been wrecking havoc on my posts.
This is for Bartlett. I ran into him at the skatepark yesterday and I think he said he's on his fourth back surgery. Being hurt sucks. Stay up.
These guys make me laugh. I actually kinda liked this. Especially the handrail wallride.
Yawn fest until 3:10 then look out.
Book Report.

Down river

Above: hand held at 1/5, no image stabilizers. Suck it tripods.
I'm back from stomping around interior B.C. taking "pretty" pictures of rocks and stuff. I actually fell in a river during the trip. Not this one, but a different deep one. It was crazy cold. On an unrelated note, kayaks are stupid. Rivers to.
High and dry.
Pave it all.
This.
