Go Skateboarding Day Edmonton

Taking a break from running wild in the streets, this year's Edmonton Go Skateboarding Day event headed to the City's longest running and fun skate spot, the pond at Paul Kane, for a skate jam, BBQ and game of SKATE.

Above: Turning tricks. During the event if you landed something sick, there was a good chance a large tattooed hand was going to slap some cash into your mitt.

Above: Going over the lip at Paul Kane looks easy but beware, it's an axle grabber. Parker with a back lipslide.
While Paul Kane may not be the most challenging of terrain, it is quite difficult not to have a tonne of fun rolling around in its flowing supple forms. Throw in a perfect summer day, a BBQ, cash for tricks, some of Edmonton's best skaters, and you have one hell of a reminder why skateboarding is so freaking awesome. Thanks to Vans, Plush, Famous, and Showdown for hosting such a sick event.
More photos coming soon.
