Sargent Plaza

Before heading back to Edmonton, I checked out Winnipeg's Sargent Skatepark. It's fucked up, but in one of those ways that's actually kind of awesome. All of the shortcomings kind of make the attempt at a street plaza feel all that more authentic. Street spots are rarely perfect and this park really captures that spirit.

It's also got a huge amount of space between each obstacle, which also lends itself to a real street feel.

This was actually really sick.

I don't know what to say about the "snake run." It's actually a lot more like a ditch than a snake run. I have no idea what the giant tablets in the middle are about.

This was neat.

Even this curb on the way out to the parking lot was fun.

Keeping in mind that I've been staying in the senior's apartment building that high speed internet forgot the last couple weeks, this is sick.
