Still no skateboarding

I actually tried to go skateboarding today. Who knew the Mill Woods park was surrounded by a fence? So I went grocery shopping instead. You know how you give the Safeway cashier your discount card and your name appears on the bottom of the bill so they can thank you by name.

Well everyone of my bills for the last seven years have had this name on them. It's really fun watching the cashier look at the name, look at me, look at the name, and then try and pronounce it.

Carpal Tunnel

That left such a bad taste in my mouth I had to wash it out with this and this. Man I wish I had a garage or a bigger living room.

Giant pie! Giant pie!

I'm a big fan of Low Card and the Sweet Tats section of the mag. It's always a treat picking up the new mag at Showdown. I've never been so perfectly summed up by a tattoo.

Extreme Games

I went to the official opening of the Collingwood skatepark last weekend. I had to go to work before the Plush team got warmed up, but I got a couple pre contest pics of the Source guys before I had to leave. Super bummed that I didn't get to see the Plush Dream Team of Mastrovito, Tancowny, Jetski, and Lepine go for the gold.

Riley Boland stalefish to disaster.

If the Ice Cream Truck is a Rockin Don't Come a Knockin

The ice cream trucks have been coming past the park pretty regularly recently and one day I though it would be kinda funny to get a photo of Nile picking out a frozen treat.

Then I noticed the front license plate.

That doesn't seem right. Especially when you're selling ice cream to kids. I guess they were all out of these bumper stickers.

Graphic Design Gone Bad

While waiting to pay for my Italian sub in Little Italy the other day I noticed a little candy display beside the cash register.

I think it's a type of Italian licorice. Who thought this was a good idea? I can't believe Tabu has never thought about taking their advertising in another slightly less racist direction.

So It Begins

I went to Montreal a little while ago and while wheeling my bike out the back door of the hotel I heard a little crunch. Suffering from a touch of the OCD my initial though was that I had stepped on a discarded needle. Imagine my joy to discover that it was simply a neatly piled $1.31 in change and a little baggie of crack. When I came back later someone had scooped up this little back alley street treasure. I immediately wanted to put the picture up on street-riot but, since this picture has very little to do with skateboarding the idea of a separate photo blog was born.
