Pancakes, Thugs, Photos

Above: Cam the proprietor of the Pancakes and Skateboards consortium with a judo air.
I went and checked out another Winnipeg park I'd never been to the other day. As far as I can tell it's simply called Skatepark West and was crazy close to the hospital I've been hanging out at.
The park is pretty sick, but this thing above was by far my favourite.
The extensions are pretty much a signature as to who made the park, but they do seem to work better at this park.
I've skated most of the middle section before at other parks.
It appears to me that Barkman just goes to Winnipeg's New Line and Spectrum parks when trying to figure out what "obstacles" they should try and recreate poorly.
I liked this thing. Overall, I'd say the park is above average and could see myself skating there a lot; especially that steep carve/wall 1/4 pipe thingy.
The other day, while in Winnipeg, I watched a drunk guy somehow ride his bike crotch first into a fire hydrant. After sacking himself, legs trapped in the frame of his bike and the hydrant, he performed a sort of modified Natas spin on top for a few moments in order to get free. It was one of the funnier things I've ever seen. It, of course, has nothing to do with the above photo, I just had nothing to write under it.
I had such a rad session skating and shooting photos at this park that I couldn't wait to go back the next day. This rarely works out for me and it was no different in Winnipeg. I thought there might actually be a BMX contest going on when I rolled up the next day. I lasted half an hour before I couldn't take listening to their exploits at the foam party from the night before and left. Oh, and the bikes were in the way a lot too.
